The SkyMaster 25x100 Large Porro Binoculars WP is a pair of two short refractors bonded on a bracket and constructed at 25-powered for users' wide field stargazing! With 4-inch large eye, the light gathering power helps a lot to see fainter clusters and nebulae. Aiming it at the Moon is part of the favourite to most users, for detailed crater views. Due to the two 4-inch refractors, its weight is nearly 4 kg that a tripod or alt-azimuth mount is highly recommended than hand-holding. A camera tripod is more versatile especially a good tension panhead is used. 25x would reveal shaky view if the support/tripod is too flimsy or not carefully selected that causes the vibration to degrade the visual effect.
Apart from night stargazing, the Skymaster 25x100 can be used in many aspect. It's quite interesting when users mount a smartphone adapter onto the binocular's eyepiece to capture the image of the Moon, or terrestrial view. Bear in mind that the unit is waterproof, but not weatherproof. If the unit is used for long distance viewing in day time for terrestrial or nature observation, it's recommended to take proper moisture free measure, such as storage in electric dry cabinet.
