The 127mm White Light Solar Filter is a full aperture safety solar filter, made of CE and ISO certified solar film for the Sun observation, as well as solar eclipse watch.  Safe solar viewing product can not be compromised for lower pricing but eye safety as prior concern.  In order to get high resolution solar or eclipse images or visuals, we always recommend a full aperture solar filter for telescope or your optical equipment.

This model is compatible with 5-inch or 127 mm Maksutov Cassegrain telescope, without further modification.  It's a ready made safety solar filter to fit especially Celestron Nexstar 127 SLT, which is a computerized Maksutov Cassegrain telescope.  Nexstar SLT is a series with portability and easy-to-use designed benefiting astronomy beginners.  "SLT" refers to the telescope series that bundles a single electric alt-azimuth mount and adjustable steel tripod and different optical tube assemblies in packages.  SLT models are lightweight, and integrated with Celestron's innovative software helping telescope users in searching and targeting celestial objects in seconds.  Due to the big objects database, users will have room to access to not only solar system objects including the major planets, but Messier Objects as well as brighter NGC's nebulae and star clusters.  City folks will get to enjoy observing double stars in city sky.

The 127mm Whilte Light Solar Filter is a broadband filter for Sunspots.  Sunspots are dark, planet-sized regions that appear on the surface of the Sun (the Sun's photosphere). Sunspots are "dark" because they are cooler (2,700–4,200 °C) than their surroundings.

When users are doubtful about our mother star, this is a must-have safety accessory to work with telescope, in getting a clear and safe view on the Sun.  And this is the only "star" that we are able to see the "surface" while stars in nightsky are not.
